Stuart has been working at Chalmers Mackay since 2008. His qualifications are and ICMA in percussion and a DipMus T in teaching. He is experienced in pipe band drumming and plays in a function band at weekends. He has been playing drums for over 12 years. He is experienced in playing for pantomime and shows. Two years ago he took up percussion including marimba and timpani, passing his Grade eight with distinction LCM. Stuart enjoys working with young people and currently teaches at youth projects in Tillydrone and Fersands and Give Kids a Chance. His teaching style is relaxed, giving the pupils a comfortable learning environment for their instrument. His musical interests include rock music such as Muse, Foo Fighters and The Killers and styles such as 50's swing music and jazz.
