I am one of the piano tutors at the Chalmers Mackay Music School. I have been teaching Piano, Keyboard and rock/folk Guitar intermittently for several years, and in 1999 gained my Diploma in Music Teaching (Piano). I intend to gain more qualifications in the coming year.

I have been involved in teaching/education for many years. I trained small businesses in software applications development and was also a Countryside Ranger, specialising in environmental education for schools, community and recreational groups.

My musical interests are broad, and have been involved in traditional jazz, reggae, rock and folk ensembles. I am currently in a Ceilidh band named "Cat ‘n' a Doocot", playing guitar and keyboard, conceived Christmas 1998 and now becoming established on the Aberdeen circuit.

As for the piano, well its board again, but especially love the Romantic period - Chopin, Liszt and Heller being close to my heart.

I enjoy improvising, composing and writing songs, and am currently in the process of producing a CD of various styles of music.

My interests, apart from the above are angling, wildlife photography, writing and graphic design.
