Whilst in Dumfries I conducted the school choirs, took part and produced several musicals and pantomimes at the school. I sang in the local choral society and was Musical Director for the Theatre Royal's pantomime and summer show.
On returning to Aberdeen, I gained the position of vocal instructor with Aberdeen City Council - a post I have held for fifteen years now. I travel around the secondary schools teaching singing to certificate pupils.
I am also the singing teacher for Stagecoach Theatre School and have trained the pupils there for the musicals Joseph and Whistle Down The Wind for touring professional companies.
I have also been Musical Director with several local theatre companies including Pro Arte and Attic and was honoured to be Musical Director with the latter when they did the first amateur production of Disco Inferno in the United Kingdom. Recently I worked with Loriston Theatre Group and their production of the Rocky Monster Show.
